Lodging Accommodations
This Institute is a residential program, and housing is required for the duration of the three-week institute.
Sonesta ES Suites Homewood, Birmingham, AL
While studying in Birmingham, participants will be housed at the Sonesta ES Suites, Homewood. For your convenience and to build a sense of collegiality, we have reserved two-bedroom suites. Each bedroom has a private bath. There is a shared living space and kitchenette in each suite. A full hot-cooked breakfast is served each day in the lobby. Monday-Thursday, an evening reception is offered. There are several restaurants in the general area of the Sonesta ES Suites. If you need to arrive early or stay over, you are responsible for those expenses.
The cost of lodging (rate and taxes only) will be deducted from the participant stipend and lodging reservations (for the Institute) will be reserved by program administration. Any incidental charges and extended stays must be paid for and reserved independently by the participant. If you have any questions about lodging, please visit our contact page.

Sonesta ES Suites, Montgomery, AL
While studying in Montgomery, Selma, and Tuskegee, participants will be housed at the Sonesta ES Suites in Montgomery, AL. The accommodations will be the same as in Birmingham.
Lodging Costs: $64.31/night includes taxes (Total lodging cost – 4 nights: $257.24 per person)

Meals
A meal plan is available and encouraged for all participants of the institute. Meal options (i.e. meat,vegetarian, etc.) will be available as a part of the meal plan, and will be made available to participants prior to the workshop. The cost of the meal plan will be deducted from the participant stipend. As noted above, breakfast is included in the hotel stay. Additional meals are the responsibility of the participant, and list of local restaurants will be made available to participants.
